This is similar in style to Chateau Latour/Saint Estephe and will age well, perfect for long term cellaring. The nose is mind blowing with deep savoury black truffle aromas this is an incredibly concentrated wine with amazing length. Verite is an amazing visionary project on which Vigneron Pierre Seillan has embarked. He believes that every hillside, differing elevation and aspect within the vineyards allows the vines to develop slightly differently and will all bring a different element to his wine.
As a result Verite is a combination of an amazing series of more than 40 micro-crus (essentially, tiny vineyards within vineyards) from Mayacama Mountain Range in Sonoma County. This combination allows Pierre Seillan to create a virtuoso blend of grape varieties, climate, soil expression using a winemaking technique he calls 'droit du sol' - the right of the soil.
