An interesting Cabernet Franc forward blend. South Africa's answer to Saint-Emillion and inspired by wine maker Andre van Rensburg's admiration of Cheval Blanc.
This is a relatively new addition to the Vergelegen portfolio. High-toned perfume that delivers sweet red fruits, violets, blackcurrant pastille, chocolate and roasted coffee. There's a delicious cool herbal streak running through it with pencil lead undertones from the Cabernet Franc which is quite captivating. Harmonious and velvety on the palate with generous creamy berry fruit, tangy acidity and a lovely mellow feel to it. Instant gratification.
