One of Guigal's famed 'La Las' the most sought after wines from the Rhône valley and indeed the world. La Mouline along with La Landonne and La Turque are three of the finest wines money can buy. Jancis Robinson has described La Mouline as Guigals answer to La Tache! Very hard to find a better complement.
Awarded a phenomenal 100 points by Robert Parker, La Mouline is an intensely perfumed wine, drawing you in with wonderful aromas of spring flowers, violets, incense and even cured smoky meats. The palate is almost indescribable, like sipping on pure silk. The Wine Advocate describes it as: "Full-bodied, voluptuous and as seamless as they come, Syrah just doesn't get any more alluring, sexy or impressive".
La Mouline is the earliest of the three La Las to be picked due to its exposure. It is fermented in a different style to the other two as well (pump overs) and tends to be the most approachable of the three. It is ready to drink at a younger age; however, it will still mature gloriously for decades.
