New Zealand's First Growth, this is the wine that put Hawkes Bay Bordeaux blends on the map and once you taste it you'll appreciate why. Not just a Bordeaux blend but a fine wine in its own right. A very elegant, fresh and dry wine in style; this is laden with incredible flavours.
First, a bouquet of violets, roses, lavender and pure cassis, followed by blackcurrant, fragrant wild strawberry and pitch-black cherry, laid out over sweet cedar, and fine, supple French oak. Coleraine is perfect for cellaring - or an incredible gift - a small number of Coleraine Magnums are bottled and made available for a short time whenever Coleraine is made. The name Coleraine is a tribute to owner John's late grandfather who left Coleraine, Ireland for New Zealand and founded the family estate.
